Your Hometown Country Connection

Hey Tri-State! I wanted to first thank everyone for all the support over the last few years. Working at WAYZ has been an awesome experience and it is mainly because of you. A little about me? Well, I am from Reading, Pa and went to York College to earn my degree in Speech Communication. I am in a sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, and my sisters have had a huge impact on my life. I have great friends and an even better family. My younger brother David is my best friend and I am so blessed to have such a great sibling. I rescued a 3 legged cat, named Uno, who makes me smile everyday. I have always been a very upbeat, annoying girl who always has a smile on her face. Lastly, I couldn’t imagine working so closely with anyone other than Tiny. Tiny has become one of my greatest friends and I am so glad we got paired up to try and make your mornings a little brighter!  I have always loved radio and microphones and I am so lucky that now I get paid to talk on one. It’s fantastic! Feel free to email me at anytime with requests, stories…anything! Thanks again for making my job the best job in the world.

I've been looking up Halloween decorations like crazy on Pinterest lately.  I asked Jeff if he would make a Halloween craft with me every week until Halloween.  I think he was half listening to me because he agreed.  This is what'son the menu for today!  Feel free to share ANY Halloween crafts with me.

halloween crafts
Hey here is a pretty cool Halloween craft that I made last and easy!Take a large old book (go to goodwill), open it somewhere in the middle..Take two plain pieces of paper and tuck them inside so they are part of the books pages. TMake some instant coffee (the stronger the better) and "paint" the pages that you have added, and all around all the sides, in between other pages, want the color to look old.Let it dry, you can always make it darker if you want..i go back around the edges. When its dry, take modge podge and cover the pages that you made, and all around the edges..the take the pages and bend them, shape them so it looks like an old book that has been laying open for years. Then either write a spell inside, or stamp with some spooky sayings and pictures..display on a plate stand or cook book stand and you have an old spell book! I put mine with a candelabra, some webs and spiders, and some spell jars..those are super easy too..take some craft paint, and swirl it around inside an old bottle or jar, modge podge a label for bat wings, rat drops, whatever you can coffee dye the paper before you make the label, I even burned the edges..put a few battery candles around and it will shine through your spell bottles. Good luck- you got a lot of Thursdays! You can also take an old pair of boots, rough them all up, curl the toes and put them by your door with a sign that says the witch is in Can you tell I get into Halloween too????
