JD's Blog, a place where sight and sound have no meaning, where time and space are illusions, and where a DJ posts his slightly off-kilter take on this, that, and the other thing.

I've loved radio since I was a kid and consider myself extremely lucky to get paid to do it. I'm a 2002 graduate of the DC campus of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, I play several musical instruments and write books for fun. And I'm a huge fan of the Philly teams: the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers.

A group of dudes in Manchester, England were out for a bachelor party last year and were all dressed up as WALDO from the"Where's Waldo?" books . . . red and white striped shirt, blue pants, stocking cap, and black glasses. As they were walking through a train station, they started exchanging some words with some guys heading home from watching a Manchester United match. It's not clear what they were saying, but soon enough, the Waldos were brawling with the group of football hooligans. One of the Waldos was just found guilty of fighting in public. All four of the football hooligans were found guilty.

When 25-year-old Thomas McGowan of Wichita Falls, Texas decided to break into a trailer at a trailer park, he could NOT have picked a worse one. Around 11:50 P.M. last Tuesday, Thomas broke into a trailer where a guy named Jimmy Morgan Jr. lives. And it just so happens Jimmy is a huge "Game of Thrones" fan. He even lives the "Game of Thrones" lifestyle. Which means . . . he has plenty of medieval weapons in his home, including a SPEAR he keeps by his bed. So winter came EARLY for Thomas. That's a "Game of Thrones" reference, Cletus. When Thomas busted into his bedroom, Jimmy quickly STABBED him with the spear. It caught Thomas in the hand and shoulder . . . then Jimmy chased him out. The police eventually showed up and arrested Thomas.

All things considered, I'm thinking this guy wishes the burglar he caught in his house was just there to steal his STUFF . . . A man in Pisa, Italy got home last week and found an intruder in his house. So he called the cops and reported a burglar. The cops got there FAST, and were able to chase the guy down. But once they caught him, they found out the guy WASN'T a burglar . . . he was actually secretly having an affair with the homeowner's WIFE, and didn't realize the man was coming home. Once that information came out, the husband attacked him . . . and the cops had to pull them apart. There's no word if anyone was arrested.
