Your Hometown Country Connection

Night time is the right time!
I've been a night person all my life and this is the first time anyone's appreciated it! I was born in Philadelphia and lived many years in the Baltimore area. I've loved radio since I was a kid and consider myself extremely lucky to do it for a living. I'm a 2002 graduate of the DC campus of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, I'm a writer, musician and cartoonist in my free time. And I'm a huge fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers as well as the Maryland Terrapins.

Have you ever had a soda bottle blow up on you? That's fun. Especially if you're in a position where you can't change your clothes. So you have to walK around all sticky. Yeah, just a total blast. I'm being sarcastic, of coursE.

I left a bottle of soda in my car. It sat in there for a couple of hours in the summer sun. Finally, overtaken by thirst, I reached for it. Bad idea. As soon as I twisted the cap, the contents of the bottle began to spray alL over me. In seconds I was covered from head to toe in tacky liquid, a situation I was unable to remedy for some time.

Apparently it was some kind of chemicaL reaction between the carbonation and the temperature or something. I don't know. I'm not a chemist. All I know is that it was verY uncomfortable, and not an experience I'm keen on repeating.
