Stuff that don’t~designer stuff, the latest, coolest anything. Who decides that anyway?
Favorites~a good song, a good drink, a good (fill in the blank) back rub?
Totally unfavorites~arrogance & hatred, phony lying jerks, people that pee on the seat. I hate that!
About work~
I am so very fortunate to work in radio and, I work with some really great people. Who wouldn’t love playin’ music and talkin’ all day for a livin’?
When it comes to music, for me it’s really all about the song. Bluegrass, old time gospel and country. Stuff by Hank, Merle, Patsy and Willie. I dig Johnny Cash and Radney Foster, Asleep at the Wheel, Keith Urban and Lee Ann Womack, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church and Possum Holler.
Of course.
I could make a list a mile long.
Music has been a part of my life since I was a little girl and, I have my beautiful parents to thank for that. I hope the pure, emotionally raw joy I get out of singing, writing and performing is obvious.
There’s nothing like sitting outside in the early morning, on a peachy summer day, watching my pets lazily basking in the sun, listening to the birds sing and, takin’ in the sweet summer smell of lilac, honeysuckle, wisteria and the lillies.
There’s nothin’ like the hugs I get from my kids.
Because nothing, nothing means more to me than the people I love.
I sincerely hope that I’m an inspiration and a blessing to others. So many have been that for me.

on a recent blog on my jock page, i mentioned the smell of a bull. not the bull exactly, but the bull associated with getting a prescrition filled, which in turn became associated with a smell that, you too, might be familiar with. the smell of crap.
in case you missed it and want to be "in the know" please refer to the last blog in january. if you're already a regular reader of my page, then you my friend, are aware of my rant.
so, i get home from work friday night and there on the steps, is a package from guess where (?) that wasn't even supposed to be delivered! but, oh well i say. what the heck. i'll just pay the (co pay) stinkin' extra hundred fifty bucks. i'll just have to return those poop proof boots i bought for occasions such as this... imagine my surprise, surprise, surprise, when i looked at the invoice, with tired, end of the day, fast lane, slow lane, blood shot eyes... and saw that i was billed $5,721.13! yep, you read it right.
$5,721.13! now, i'm not for sure on this, but i'm thinkin' that i could bury myself with that and, have enough money left over to send flowers...
here's to the jelly beans form easter 2011! i pulled out a lighter jacket to wear this mornin', and there in the pocket was a baggie full of sugar sweet jb's, still soft and yummy. yay me! well actually, i guess it's yay to the candy maker... or the chemicals...or whatever's in those things that kept them in such tasty condition. maybe it was the ziploc baggie... but, what a nice surprise. a little taste of spring on the first day of february. anyway, i had totally forgotten that i had removed my favorite flavors from the bag before handin' it over to my husband. he got the red, the green, the orange and yellow. i got the pink, purple and black.
he wouldn't have liked the girly colors anyway, right?.
