In today’s Honky Tonk Truth, Jelly Roll is now a Deputy Sheriff, Hardy shares his favorite summer activity, and Morgan Wallen is now #1 on the Billboard Pop Airplay chart.
- Jelly Roll’s life has come full circle in a way. He used to be a convict and now he’s a Deputy Sheriff. He was sworn in, in Genesee County Michigan by Sheriff Swanson. Jelly has been working closely with Sheriff Swanson recently to help support a program that helps inmates get their GED and potentially a job. Plus he opened a music studio in their county jail.
- Hardy’s latest is Truck Bed and he’s been busy on the road this summer. Talking with Hardy he shared what his summer’s are like when he’s not out on tour:
- Morgan Wallen and Post Malone’s hit “I Had Some Help” is now #1 on the Billboard Pop Airplay chart, making this the first time Morgan has ever been #1 in the Pop world. Their song has now been #1 on both the Country and Pop charts which is a huge deal. The last time this happened was back in 2008/2009 with Taylor Swift’s “Love Story”.
