In today’s Honky Tonk Truth, Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood recorded their song in one take, Tim McGraw feel the military is some of the best people, and Luke Combs got the lyrics to this popular song wrong.
- Cody Johnson’s latest song “I’m Gonna Love You” and it’s with Carrie Underwood. Originally they recorded their parts separately but something didn’t feel right. So Carrie suggested them just playing it live together and they then got the whole song done in one take. Which is crazy impressive!
- This upcoming Monday, November 11th is Veterans Day and talking with Tim McGraw, he shared that he has family members who served and he feels the military is some of the best people we have:
- Luke Combs had great success with his cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” and it’s actually one of his personal favorite songs. So you would think he’d know every single word of the song right? Well, apparently Luke got one line wrong in his studio recording. The line he got wrong is in the pre-chorus leading to the end of the song the correct line is “We’ve gotta make a decision, leave tonight or live and die this way” but Luke sang “Still gotta make a decision”. And no one caught the line was wrong until he met Tracy herself. Obviously Luke was embarrassed but he said Tracy was so cool about it.
