Your Hometown Country Connection

JD's Blog, a place where sight and sound have no meaning, where time and space are illusions, and where a DJ  air personality posts his slightly off-kilter take on this, that, and the other thing.
I was born in Philadelphia and lived many years in the Baltimore area. I've loved radio since I was a kid and consider myself extremely lucky to get paid to do it. I'm a 2002 graduate of the DC campus of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, I'm a writer, musician and cartoonist in my free time. And I'm a huge fan of the Philly teams: the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers as well as the Maryland Terrapins.

I have a confession to make: I'm a loser. Before you say, "Everybody knows that," please allow me to elaborate.

I lose things. Not often, at least not anymore. These days I'm very careful where I put things in order to avoid losing them. But it still happens occasionally. I lost my sunglasses not long ago. I searched for them for two months. I finally found them on the floor under one of my dining chairs. They had evidently fallen out of my pocket when I tossed my jacket over the chair and somehow I had managed to miss them with the broom. The other night I lost my keys. I went to the supermarket, walked back from the car with my bags full of provisions, and when I went to unlock the door I couldn't find my keys. I searched for them, I retraced my steps all the way back to the car. Eventually I found my pocket. You see, I usually keep them in my right front pants pocket. This time, for some unfathomable reason I put them in my back pocket. That's all it takes!

No moral here, just a friendly piece of advice: sometimes being a creature of habit can be a good thing.
