Hey Tri-State! I wanted to first thank everyone for all the support over the last few years. Working at WAYZ has been an awesome experience and it is mainly because of you. A little about me? Well, I am from Reading, Pa and went to York College to earn my degree in Speech Communication. I am in a sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, and my sisters have had a huge impact on my life. I have great friends and an even better family. My younger brother David is my best friend and I am so blessed to have such a great sibling. I rescued a 3 legged cat, named Uno, who makes me smile everyday. I have always been a very upbeat, annoying girl who always has a smile on her face. Lastly, I couldn’t imagine working so closely with anyone other than Tiny. Tiny has become one of my greatest friends and I am so glad we got paired up to try and make your mornings a little brighter!  I have always loved radio and microphones and I am so lucky that now I get paid to talk on one. It’s fantastic! Feel free to email me katy@wayz.com at anytime with requests, stories…anything! Thanks again for making my job the best job in the world.

Who's going to see Joe Nichols tomorrow??  It's going to be an amazing show.  We have been looking forward to this day for  many months now.  Remember it's BYOB and the gates open at 10am.

Can't wait to hug this sexy stud.

I have to thank AJ for finding this for me!  This is the easiest way to snazz up pumpkins.  I hate carving pumpkins because it takes way too much time and it never turns out the way I want.  In lieu of carving pumpkins, I am decorating pumpkins this way!!

I have to give full props to AJ for finding this!  If you're looking for a great way to spice up your yard around Christmas, try making these.  You'll be the talk of the town :)

Markus Burden, a freshman at Ball State University, made a half-court shot and won a semester of free tuition.  He ended up winning $11,000 for spring semester.  He is the first student to make the shot!  Amazing!!

Want to get whatever you want in life?  Try out this technique.

Approach the person you're asking for a favor . . . like, say, the airline employee at the desk. Give your name, and make your request. If they say no, smile and say, "Well, I'm sure we can find a way to work things out."

Then stand off to the side in their peripheral vision . . . lean forward a little . . . clasp your hands in front of your stomach . . . smile . . . and NEVER STOP LOOKING AT THEIR FACE.

Don't speak unless they ask you a question. Nod enthusiastically whenever the person says something to someone else.

Eventually, they'll help you because you look nice, friendly, respectful, non-threatening.

A body language expert nicknamed the pose "kindly brontosaurus" . . . because you're kind of craning your neck and holding your arms like a brontosaurus.

Here's a photo of someone doing the "kindly brontosaurus."

I think she looks a little creepy.

There's a line in BLAKE SHELTON'S song "Boys 'Round Here" where he sings about the girls, "Shakin' that sugar, sweet as Dixie Crystal."

Well, the real Dixie Sugar Company jumped on that and hired a Houston artist named Reginald Adams to create a portrait of Blake made up entirely of Dixie Crystal sugar varieties like granulated, light brown, dark brown and turbinado.

What do you think?? I think it looks like David Hasselhoff.

I've been looking up Halloween decorations like crazy on Pinterest lately.  I asked Jeff if he would make a Halloween craft with me every week until Halloween.  I think he was half listening to me because he agreed.  This is what'son the menu for today!  Feel free to share ANY Halloween crafts with me.

If somehow you haven't heard, Denzel Washington is my man!!  I have been waiting for this weekend for a few reasons.  First of all, "2 Guns" opens up nationwide with Denzel and Mark Wahlberg.  It looks amazing.

Also, Sunday kicks off SHARK WEEK 2013!  I love Shark Week and I am excited to see what programming Discovery has in store for us.

Enjoy your weekend.
