This Thursday will be my last day with WAYZ, because I am going back home to North Carolina to be closer to family!
There are SO many places that I will miss up here, and I thought I would share my absolute favorite places to go in the Tristate! 🙂
My favorite place to go get books! The owner, Helen, is a retired English teacher and gives great book recommendations! You can bring books in to trade in, and there is now even space next door where they sell stationary, journals and all kinds of cool stuff! Not to mention, the Wee Scot Book Shoppe has the cutest mascot, Lady Macbeth, a Scottish Terrier. Lady Macbeth works Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Located in Downtown Waynesboro, PA next to Brio Coffeehouse!
2. Caretti’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant
My husband and I’s absolute favorite place to get lunch & dinner. Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten-free, including pizza, pasta (with homemade noodles), mozzarella sticks, and boneless wings! My husband has celiac disease, and I have a high gluten intolerance, so this place is paradise to us! The food is delicious and the owners have been so kind to us! Located in Chambersburg, PA next to the Walmart.
Such a cute store filled with local arts and craft vendors! When my husband and I first moved to Waynesboro, the owners were some of the first people we met in the town, and they were so nice and welcoming! The vendors who sell their crafts there are such kind people as well, and so talented! Stop by Mason Dixon Creations in Downtown Waynesboro, PA across from the Main Street Park.
As mentioned above, my husband and I have a bad relationship with gluten. This place is AMAZING if you have food allergies! The whole place is gluten-free and nut-free, and they sell dairy free, egg free, vegan, and diabetic friendly options as well! Absolutely delicious baked goods, that are so good even if you don’t have a food allergy!
