In a recent survey 77% of Americans said they would rather receive experiences over a physical gift this Christmas.
So think tickets to a concert, a surprise trip somewhere, or a cooking class.
A big part of this trend is that the experience is share-able
Honestly I can get behind this movement. I like the idea of taking someone to an event I know they’d love to go to. Plus you get to create some awesome memories with that person.
Here’s some of the top experiences on the list
Tickets to a concert/show – 50% like that
Outdoor Activities (hiking, biking, boating etc.) – 43% want that
Food Tour or Cooking Class – 36%
Vouchers for wine or beer tasting – 31% are into it
Trip to Museum – 29%
Surprise Travel – 63% would love it
But most importantly 96% would gladly go to any of these
