In today’s Honky Tonk Truth Lainey Wilson shares some advice from her childhood, Cody Johnson opens up about his song “Human”, and the first round of performers for the CMT Music Awards have been announced.
- Lainey Wilson’s father gave her some advice that she’s held onto her entire life. It happened when she was trying to ride her first horse and she was scared because the young horse was bucking around and being crazy. Her father told her to simply “You better hold on” and she’s held that advice close to her heart whenever anything seems too difficult. And I’d have to say its worked out for her so far!
- Cody Johnson didn’t write the song “Human” but when he first heard it he felt like it was written specifically for him.
- The CMT Awards are going to air on April 2nd and the first round of performers have been announced. Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban, and Carrie Underwood.
