Beer poking is an interesting practice where you take a hot rod and “poke” your beer with it. The idea is that it caramelizes the sugars in the beer and changes the flavor profile a bit and makes it creamier. Almost like a beer s’more
I’ve always thought this sounded like fun and tonight Rough Edges in Waynesboro is holding a beer poking event to celebrate the release of their new dopplebock, Doppleganging. So make sure you check them out later today from 5-8!
