In today’s Honky Tonk Truth, we find out how many times Lainey Wilson was rejected from American Idol, Hailey Whitters talks about life on the road, and Dan + Shay revealed they almost broke up.
- Lainey Wilson recently revealed that she was rejected from “American Idol” seven times. She said she never made it past the first round. She also tired out for “The Voice” and didn’t make it onto that show either. While those attempts didn’t work out, I’m very glad we all finally get to enjoy her music!
- Hailey Whitters, best known for “Everything She Ain’t”, has been on the road a lot this year. And talking with her, she revealed how its been going:
- Dan + Shay have had some amazing success in the past couple years, but they also almost broke up. From about December 2021 to March 2022 they two didn’t speak at all. They immense pressure they put on themselves and bad mental states were the main culprits. They were burnt out and seriously debated breaking up. But in March of 22 they talked it out and now are closer than ever.
