In today’s Honky Tonk Truth, Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll celebrate number one hits, Warren Zeiders scored his first number one, and this Garth Brooks staple almost wasn’t recorded by him.

  • Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll celebrated their three #1 hits together with a  party in Nashville. They were celebrating Jelly Roll’s “Need A Favor” and “Save Me” (which features Lainey) and Lainey’s song “Watermelon Moonshine”. Not only do Jelly Roll and Lainey work well together on music but they are actually close friends with Jelly saying he calls her about everything from career highs to social media negativity.

  • Warren Zeiders has scored his first career #1 single with “Pretty Little Poison” and talking with Warren he explained how he likes to test his music:

  • “Friends In Low Places” is one of Garth Brooks’ signature songs, but it almost wasn’t. Garth had originally recorded a demo of the song for George Strait. Garth said he had a good George Strait impression so he was asked to record it, but ultimately George didn’t want the song. So Garth recorded it for his 1990 album No Fences and I think we all know the rest of the story.
