Deaf Tennessee high school student crowned homecoming king

A high school senior in Tennessee named Chance Usher-Smith just won homecoming king.  He’s popular, so it’s not a surprise.  But it’s in the news because he’s the school’s first deaf student to win it.

There’s a video of his classmates doing “silent applause.”  You put both hands in the air and shake them, kind of like jazz hands.    (Video Below)
