
1. The town of Chevy Chase, Maryland wasn’t named after the actor, or vice versa. Both names were inspired by an English historical ballad about a war that took place on the border between England and Scotland.
By the way, “Chevy” started as the actor’s nickname. He was born Cornelius Crane Chase. (And he’ll be 81-and-a-half next month.) (???)
2. Pringles are only about 42% potato . . . the rest is wheat starch, flour, oils, salt, and seasoning. And because of that, they’re not legally allowed to be called “potato chips” . . . technically they’re “potato crisps.”
3. Several decades before Richard Jenkins played John C. Reilly’s father in “Step Brothers”, he worked as a truck driver. And his boss at that job was . . . John C. Reilly’s father.
