This happened in 2019, but it’s viral again. A 12-year-old wrestler named Austin Scranton allowed a 14-year-old with cerebral palsy named Lucas Lacina to live out his dream of wrestling for the school team.
And Austin didn’t just go through the motions, he gave Lucas a good challenge, while also making sure Lucas was in a safe position to succeed, and get the pin.
Austin was from the opposing school . . . and afterward, he said, “I kinda just wanted to do it, because I wanted to help some kid that loves the same sport as me.” Much respect.
