1.  On Tuesday night, Chicago Cubs “closer” Ryan Pressly became just the second pitcher in MLB history to allow nine-plus runs without recording a single out.  The other was a Detroit Tigers pitcher named Hank Borowy, against the St. Louis Browns, way back in 1951.

2.  In the novel “Forrest Gump”, Forrest is 6-foot-6, 242 pounds.  The author, Winston Groom, says he pictured John Goodman playing him in a movie.

3.  The oldest cat in history (“Creme Puff”) lived to be 38 years and 3 days old . . . that’s about the equivalent of 169 in human years.  It died in 2005.

4.  When a mosquito bites you, it needs to clear room in its body for the blood . . . so it pees on you.

5.  The longest-running live-action sitcom in TV history is “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”.  It will begin its 17th season in July, and has already been cleared for at least one more.
