My father-in-law grew up in Cincinnati, and a lot of his family still lives in the area. My husband grew up going to Cincinnati often, where he fell in love with Skyline Chili!
On our honeymoon, we went to the Skyline Chili in Fort Myers, Florida. That’s where I was introduced to Skyline Chili and I have loved it ever since!
Since the Cincinnati Bengals were in the Super Bowl, we thought it fitting to make Skyline Chili for us and our friends to eat while watching! I also made some southern sweet tea to add an NC touch to the evening.
Here is a picture of the Skyline Chili! We got a can of Skyline Chili from a store in NC while we were visiting (Harris Teeter), since we haven’t been able to find it in PA yet.
I know- it’s kinda strange! Chocolate and cinnamon in chili, served over noodles?! I was nervous to try it at first but it’s seriously delicious! 🙂 Too bad the Bengals didn’t win, but it’s still amazing they even made it to the Super Bowl in the first place and did so well!
