Which states are shopping the most for Amazon Prime Day? No official data on that yet. But a new study did rank the states that love Amazon the most in general.
Over 3,000 Americans were asked to rate their Amazon obsession on a scale from 1 to 10. And the most obsessed state is . . . ALABAMA. 37% of people in Alabama said 7 or higher.
The five states that love Amazon the most are: Alabama . . . North Carolina . . . Tennessee . . . Michigan . . . and a tie between Kansas and New Hampshire.
The top state that DOESN’T love Amazon is Washington . . . which is funny because that’s where their headquarters are.
The five least obsessed states are: Washington . . . Oregon . . . Idaho . . . Oklahoma . . . and Connecticut. (Here’s a map.)
Washington might just be in denial though, because the same poll found it’s in the top five for MONTHLY SPENDING on Amazon.
The national average is $91.75. Tennessee ranks first at just over $124 a month. Washington is fourth at $112. And West Virginia spends the least at $56 a month.
