Jason Aldean has added another milestone to his career, earning his 31st No. 1 at country radio with “How Far Does A Goodbye Go.”

The single climbed to the top of both the Billboard Country Airplay chart and the Country Aircheck/Mediabase rankings; and with the achievement, Aldean now matches George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Luke Bryan for the fourth-most No. 1 hits since the Country Airplay chart launched in 1990. Only Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, and Tim McGraw rank ahead in total chart-toppers.

Penned by Kurt Allison, John Edwards, Tully Kennedy, and John Morgan, “How Far Does A Goodbye Go” debuted in September 2025 as the lead single from Aldean’s forthcoming album Songs About Us, arriving April 24. The 48-year-old star marked the moment on Instagram, reflecting on how quickly the numbers have climbed: “Man, I thought 30 was the milestone… now we’re sitting at 31 number one songs,” he wrote, calling the feat “pretty wild. Thank you to country radio, my team, our streaming partners, the songwriters, and every one of y’all who’ve listened and turned these songs into something bigger than we ever imagined.”
