This weekend was a bit wild for me! My husband and I adopted a dog from Antietam Humane Society on Thursday, and then on Saturday, we went to the inaugural Charlotte FC MLS game in DC!
Here is our new dog, Blu! She is an absolute sweetheart and LOVES cuddles and going for walks! I love her so much!! I also just made her an Instagram account because I’m extra!! Go follow @BluTheBlutick on Instagram! Here’s a few pictures:
My husband and I also went to the inaugural Charlotte FC game which was vs DC United! My husband and I were both born and raised in the Charlotte area so we were so excited Charlotte finally got an MLS team! When we realized their first game would be in DC, we decided we HAD to go. It was fate.
I started visiting the DC United website every day to see if they had started selling tickets to the game yet, to the point where I started to get targeted ads for DC United! It was funny!
We got the tickets and there were actually a good amount of Charlotte fans there and everyone was just so excited to be there, it was so much fun!! Also, (most) of the DC United fans we met were super nice and welcoming!
When Charlotte scored the first goal, all of the Charlotte fans absolutely LOST it. It was so much fun! Of course, that goal got taken back after video analysis but still very cool! While we didn’t get to see the first Charlotte FC goal, we did get to be a part of the first goal celebration, so that’s at least something.
