DIRT ROAD REPORT

One of the toughest things of being on tour is managing the food you eat. Brett Eldredge shares the precautions he’s taken to try and limit the “bad food” while out on tour.

“You know there are temptations on the road of pizza showing up and I kind of made a rule that pizza can’t come on the bus cause I don’t want to be tempted by it and stuff like that. I try to keep most of the bus to stocked with only healthy stuff…as much as possible”

By the way – today is National Pepperoni Pizza day so one would think that it would be ok to let that rule slide for today.

Speaking of food – Tracy Lawrence’s annual “Turkey Fry” benefit concert will be back this November for its 17th year.  He announced on Twitter that Gary Allan and Travis Denning will be joining him.

It’s being held at Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville on November 22nd, two days before Thanksgiving.  Pre-sale tickets hit Ticketmaster.com tomorrow, and it opens up to the general public this Friday.

The event’s full name is “Mission: Possible – Turkey Fry and Concert”.  The first one was back in 2006.

Since then, they’ve fried over 8,000 turkeys . . . served more than 90,000 Thanksgiving meals . . . and raised over $600,000 for Nashville Rescue Mission

Zac Brown Band’s current single on country radio is “Out In The Middle.”

Zac Brown lives “out in the middle” of his beloved home state of Georgia – and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Where I live in Georgia…I don’t want to live anywhere where I have to lock my doors or where I can’t leave keys in my car at my house and you know be able to have those simple things. To be able to wake up in the morning and go pee outside and not have anyone…any neighbors around and things like that. So, we’re blessed in so many ways where we are.”

The Zac Brown Band was recently blessed with a nomination for Vocal Group Of The Year for the 56th Annual CMA Awards.

The deluxe edition of band’s album, The Comeback, arrives September 30th. The new project features collaborations with Blake SheltonCody JohnsonIngrid AndressJames Taylor and more.
